Jefferson Blues Magazine is the world's oldest blues magazine, published four times a year with about 70 pages per issue. Jefferson contains only exclusive articles and interviews with both American and Swedish blues and lots of concert-, cd-, book- and dvdreviews. Jefferson presents blues music from the beginning in the early 1900s up to present day. Jefferson photographers Erik Lindahl and Hans Ekestang over the years has achieved international recognition and Jefferson belongs to the top of the blues magazines worldwide. Jefferson is almost the only blues magazine that regularly presents modern black blues, ie Southern Soul.

In 2008 Jefferson was awarded the highest honor one can get blues magazine, the Keeping The Blues Alive Award by The Blues Foundation in Memphis, USA. The award, a statuette, was handed over during a three-hour celebration February 2, 2008 in connection with the world's largest competition / exhibition for blues bands in Memphis, the International Blues Challenge. With this award, Jefferson now belongs to the  most internationally renowned blues magazines.
