Peter Nande Band plays West Coast & Chicago Blues, spiced up with both low down Delta blues and even more exotic rhythms like ska and mambo. The band is constantly playing live, both at home in Denmark as well as abroad. The band´s well known for their dynamic and entertaining live sets, full of passion and spirit.The band leader, song writer and harmonica player Peter Nande started his blues career for real in 1998 with the band Nande & The Big Difference. They played together for seven years and 2002 they released an album, Nande & The Big Difference. The band was also acting as the back up band to guest soloists like Lazy Lester, Gary Primich and R.J. Mischo.
The cooperation with the legendary singer and harmonica player James Harman developed into a friendship. James Harman was so impressed with Nande that he asked that when Nande made a solo cd, Harman wanted to produce it. In 2005, when Nande was without a band, he called Harman and told him he was ready… In November 2006 Nande released the album Big Boy Boogie – California Sessions Vol. 1. The cd was except for Nandes regular guitarist Ronny Busack-Boysen recorded with an impressive array of American musicians, for example Jr. Watson, Nathan James, Carl Sonny Leyland and James Harman. The cd was nominated for a Danish Music Award in the category “The best Danish bluesalbum in 2007”.
